This is definitely the most fun talent of this tier. I love Grappling to an enemy while stealthed and then hammering on my Sap key. I call it my Sappling Hook, and it is infallible.

Only Grappling Hook in the World (of Warcraft) that cannot be used to scale walls higher than a Gnome.

A fun little talent.

Target a location, toss the hook, and get pulled to that spot.

You can grapple to any spot that you can run to, which does not include grappling to the tops of buildings, though you can grapple from the top to the ground.

You cannot use it to cross gaps that you can leap across, such as from a rock ledge to a building top in your garrison.

Usable in stealth and does not break stealth.

It looks like they fixed some of the pathing errors with the hook! Before my hook would get cancelled going up hill, now I'm able to zip around rooftops! This is exactly how I imagined this ability would work!

This ability can be used in many ways. The most notable so far for myself, is when you run out of goblin gliders or it is on cooldown, you can just jump and cast this and as so as the circle is green you can click to save your life. This is useful for accidental falls or mounts glitching off the cliff while you are trying to scale the Legion areas.

You can now cast targeted AoE spells like this right away where your cursor is, using @cursor in your macro.
For example:

Update for 7.3.5: The grappling hook now successfully crosses the wharves in the Hall of Shadows again. De-nerfed, I suppose.

This ability seems to have been nerfed in patch 7.3.

Previously I was able to grapple in the sewers (The Hall of Shadows) across the wharves from near 格里伏塔 to the command board. Now all I get is "No path available." Even short distances around the Darkmoon Faire give the same error message.

Everyday I make a support/feedback ticket to report that Grappling Hook and Protodrake Cameras are still broken and need to be fixed. Please do the same, maybe if they get spammed by reports, they will finally fix them ;/ Hook fails to yank you forward half the time, usually if it goes through terrain, but still goes on cooldown.

Keep reporting the issue!

This ability sometimes consumes it's cooldown and shoots the hook at the ground, but it doesn't grip you towards the hook. Happens too many times as it gets annoying now.

Upon further inspection I've realized Subterfuge causes Grappling Hook to break stealth after landing
