Shuurt's tale is one of the most heartbreaking but hopeful that I have ever seen in WarCraft:

You! You take precious so I no rip.

If you love shirt, let it go.

And I realize I sound like I'm joking, but I'm not. Shuurt's epithet "the Clothripper" clearly indicates that he's a wild beast, driven to tear and mutilate any piece of fabric he encounters. Despite that, he's an incredibly self-aware individual who recognizes that his compulsion endangers perhaps his most prized possession, 胥尔特的宝贝.

Since he's unable to get psychiatric help (I don't believe this has been invented yet in Azeroth), his only choice to protect his Precious is to entrust it into a complete stranger, and he does so without hesitation.

I think many of us have things in our lives that we value but are unable to maintain properly, whether they're a houseplant or a relationship. Although stepping up and learning how to take good care is something to celebrate, recognizing when it's time to "let it go" instead is just as difficult and sometimes the best solution.

Kudos to the writer who made such a great character in two lines of dialog and a T-shirt.
