Here's what's working for me to cast it and automatically set it as my focus for mouseover healing:

Notes:

Set that and mash it a few times; it won't work on the first press because the treant hasn't spawned yet.
The seedling needs to be in the first of your two trinket slots.
Overhealing doesn't matter; you can keep spamming heals on the treant and it'll keep copying your heals as long as it's alive.

To get the maximum potential out of that trinket you have to keep healing it with all spells even at max health. Keep spamming until it disappears.
Any overheal on the seed will be redirected to the most wounded party/raid member. (Redirected heals will be displayed as healing done by that seedling).

My Details says 8%-11% overall healing on raid bosses. Someone will say that most of that healing is actually my personal spells which were redirected. Yes. But the main adventage of that trinket is you don't have to swap targets which costs time and personal reaction. All you do is healing that seedling and game itself prioritizes the most wounded targets.

iam doing something wrong?
When in dungeon and use trinket, alot of times i dont see the seed at all even when spam macro on target him.
and if it does spawn, then 1seconde he despawn straight away, not a chance to to click macro target and heal it.

I have the trinket on my paladin. With a little extra work it's incredibly powerful. I have ElvUI set up to show my focus frame nearby my party frames. I use the game's built in click casting/mouseover casting system, which allows you to easy do click casting or mouseovers on any unit frame. I wrote the macro below to quickly summon the trinket and focus it.

There's a lot of moving parts to this trinket. To keep track of the seedling's remaining time, health, healing done to the seedling, the healing done by the seedling to the group, and the mastery buff you get from keeping the seedling alive, I wrote this weak aura:

As some others have suggested here, I've found that the limit on the healing provided by the trinket is not a hard and fast rule. You can overheal the trinket, and it will still heal the group. The limit seems to be when the 2.5x healing multiplier stops. If you continue spamming heals on the trinket, it basically converts your single target heals into smart heals. The weak aura has the healing done bar capped at the limit in the trinket's description (this does scale properly with item level), however, the numeric display will continue counting.

One thing to note is that the event that tracks the seedling's healing done only seems to fire in instances. If you try to test the weak aura on the training dummies, or just in a group in valdrakken or something, the healing done meter won't register anything, because the event isn't firing. As soon as you step into a dungeon or raid, however, it'll work fine. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that. The game just doesn't log the event for some reason.

There's also a bunch of config options in the custom options tab for the weak aura so you can set it up how you like. I'm always open to feature requests as well, so if there's something you'd like to see added to the weak aura, let me know here or on wago. Same goes for if you have any issues with it.

Slapping this thing with a lay on hands is literally the most powerful heal in my kit right now.

Holy priest here. I have one macro to summon the seedling and target it, which has to be hit twice quickly.

Then I have another with power infusion, guardian spirit to massively amplify the healing it takes, holy word serenity as a quick initial burst, and then just spam flash heal on it. "Seedling Cure" is doing 6-10 million healing per fight, and I'm only 445 or so Ilvl.

I dropped this trinket on Holy, but have actually been running it when teaching some mid keys on Ret. Only slight reduction in DPS to have a quick party save in emergencies while your healer gets comfortable, or if they're on a spec with less bursty save options like that. Basically lets you spread out Lay On Hands and Word Of Glory for big party bursts.

Only problem I have with it is basically having to macro to target it; would be nice if it was added as a pet frame when you spawn it or something instead.

is it worth to bubble the seedling to keep it safe from fire? like Cocoon or PWS?

WARNING

this trinket can bug out on use:
it spawns with full health (normally ~40% hp), does not receive the normal damage over time and an error says that you dont have direct vision to the seedling, even when it stands right in front of you and you can heal everything else around it. if this happens you are not able to heal it. you will still receive the mastery bonus when it despawns.

happened to me twice in m+20 Rise key, on the battlefield boss. it hasnt happened again after said instance.
i have yet to find out what the trigger for the bug is.
can be very confusing if you're using it as a panick button and you dont know what's happening.
