So we've got 米拉盖佐尔的堕落之卵, 米拉盖佐尔的灼热之卵 and 魔能火鹰. The corrupted hawk has been confirmed to be the raid meta. It's likely that these three mounts will all have different methods of being obtained, similar to the storm/stone drakes from 4.0, where you could see rare drop vs. farmable reward vs. achievement vs. rare spawn vs. craftable. With the addition of a rare elite firehawk in the new zone, 安德拉佐尔, I'm going to say that one might be a new TLPD. That leaves one to be-- I assume-- a rare drop in the firelands raid.

Three hawks feels funny given the previous four-and-four set of stone and storm drakes, so I'm hoping that a fourth hawk (blue, to go with red/green/purple?) might be forthcoming, and able to be grinded for (maybe by doing the new Hyjal dailies).

Looks like 魔能火鹰 is not implemented while the pureblood hawk drops from Rag. Too bad!

Edit: The GM only showed this mount for about 5 seconds when I was there. He only stayed on the ground as seen in the pic and switched back to a blue wind rider shortly after.

I like how all these people, especially ones posting on the Beryl Firehawk page, are saying things that sound a lot like "this is what its gonna look like, take it or leave it!"...seriously? This mount looks terrible as it sits on the proto-drake frame. The wings clipping through the ground? That looks so tacky.

I do like it. However...I do not like the wings clipping through the ground...at all. All the amazing work they do and you dont think they can spend some time cleaning it up and AT LEAST fixing the wings? I'd be very disappointed if they didn't.

Yesterday on my guild's 10th Ragnaros 25 normal kill, this mount dropped and I won it :)
I was offered at least 100k gold for it from several of my co-raiders, but then, what are the odds it will drop again in a guild that has yet to kill Ragnaros on heroic, as well as me rolling higher than 24 others. Gold can always be earned but rare pixels are forever! ;)

Before 4.2 was released, 3 models were previewed. This one, the purple one from the raiding achievement and a green one. The green one never appeared for me ingame until i saw how simple it actually is. Mount the orange version with disgusting oozeling out and it gets green!

This mount looks absolutely fantastic when a shadowpriest is riding it. It gets an almost blood red tinge to the fire and the armour looks almost black. You can see it in the pictures album alongside a normal Fire Hawk.

Also, although obvious, using this Fire Hawk with the disgusting oozeling will make the mount look very similar to the green fire hawk.

I am a serious mount collector (ie a bit crazy really) but despite this, I have rarely encountered a mount in this game that's made me go "...MUST HAVE!". The Raven Lord and Crimson Deathcharger are 2 of them, the Swift Spectral tiger is another, but when I saw this mount in Stormwind one day I knew I had found my single biggest goal in my mount collecting career. I had to have it!

Sure, it uses the proto-drake skeleton, but I'd say that's an advantage...it's massive and looks absolutely amazing (check my screenshot, would you say that looks bad?) with the wings being so long. The "feathers" are stunning and the sound-effects likewise. The armor is spot-on for what it needed to add that final touch of "WOW!". I'd say that this is Blizzard's finest work when it comes to mounts, nothing comes even close. Not even the old Phoenix, since this one looks even more like a phoenix I'd like to say. The fiery effect of its feathers changes with zone and lighting/shadowing. It is truly spectacular to see.

Overall, a masterpiece. The only drawback is that they made it drop from both normal and heroic...in my opinion, this mount should only be for those that kill the Firelord on the hardest possible difficulty.

As of 5.0.4 there have been rumours that this mount is bugged and drops 100% from the normal Ragnaros. Strangely, these rumous seems to be confirmed, since I've done 5 Raggy's in a row and this dropped in all attempts.

On 3-9-2012 this bugg has been hotfixed. Note that there was no server restart needed for this to happen, the new launcher can fix small problems without causing issues to the players. The players that received the mount during this get to keep it and there is no word of it being removed from their inventories.

The bug is now fixed, I am now hoping they remove all the mounts that were obtained during the bug. It is a VERY unfair advantage. I even got a bugged mount so I am not bias here, I don't feel like I deserve the mount neither is anyone else who got it during the bug.

Death Knights can solo Heroic Ragnaros (and the rest of Firelands on heroic as well) for this mount.

Here is a video.

The recommended item level for doing this is 520 or higher - the DK in the video had a 532 ilevel and she beat the enrage by a fair margin. Note that Heroic Majordomo Staghelm requires a 530+ item level character to solo.

Won this mount few months back just doing a casual transmog run went into the raid thinking it will never drop and then it did haha and managed to even win the roll, don't be put off by the low chance of it dropping and winning the roll you may get lucky like me. Had done this raid prior about 30+ times between alts and this was second time I've seen it, had a miserable roll of 19 the first time :P

Like any old raid with mounts I suggest everyone just make a habit it of clearing on as many alts as possible each week as its now super easy for a chance of getting this mount, happy hunting :)

This mount just dropped when i was leading a raid in Firelands. I was so excited and hoped i won, but i lost it... I was masterlooter... So i didn't care.. I took it and logged out... I talked with my friends and i felt very bad. I remembered the name of the guy who actually won the mount, so i logged back in and handed it to him.. He got very happy and told me that he'll help me getting it during my future runs :) I fell i've lost a amazing mount, but also gained trust from some guy, who'll roll on it for me. I know Ninjalooting is very bad and i hate ninjalooters.. I'm totally against it. That's why i couldn't keep it and gave it to the actual winner.

EDIT: I'm actually glad i gave this mount away 3 days ago. I just made another run and it dropped once more, which i luckily got. A friend of mine had joined my run and donated the mount to me! My guild told me it must have been my honesty which got rewarded with this gorgeous mount :D

I saw it on my server, I only have 132,000 gold. I got outbid, last I saw it was at 950,000. This was on Suramar a medium pop server. My God do I wish I could get this mount for only 200,000 gold.

Just did 10m FL normal on my Priest, only did it to open up FL HC so could farm the mount, with what I thought, would be better odds on HC.
We went with 10 (dont ask but I didnt complain as would mean would clear in about 15 minutes) anyways, Raggy Normal mount dropped, 1st time there on Priest (havent killed Raggy since Cata so no idea about drop rates now)
But 1st time killing him in MOP and it drops on Normal, my worst nightmare as now Im rolling against 10 people (Group Loot), now I regret being in a 10 man raid with 10 people lmao......... but, good things happen to good people sometimes, Im always helping people out, sending guildies gear to help em, boosting em, getting them mounts such as OS253D etc and yea.... I won this mount out of 10 people rolling.
Made my year as have the Meta one from FL and Ashes, just wanted this one for ages (plus the Alysrazor one Im currently farming on my Lock weekly)

Strange it dropped 1st time in MOP, was lucky to win it against 10 but as for the drop rate, cant be that lucky, must be higher than 1%/2% as some say

As of patch 6.0.2, this thing still drops. Due to the stat squish, it's actually worthwhile to farm this place for this mount, as the place is somewhat easier than pre-6.0.2.

You can now clear all of Firelands, including Ragnaros, on 25-man. Don't know the minimum ilvl required, but I've managed to do it with my 573ilvl Enhancement Shaman. Since there's a higher chance for the mount to drop, I'd advise every mount collector with decent gear to clear it on 25 mode. Good luck to all.

After having run this numerous times when it was during Cataclysm, but never having gotten lucky enough to get it. I ran it for the 2nd time solo this past weekend, 10 man normal, and the mount dropped for me. In all my 10 years playing this game, I have never gotten so lucky to get a mount. It usually takes me hundreds of tries and many months (if not sometimes a year or more) to get every other mount. I doubt I'll be as lucky again for another 10 years. :(

Today the 米拉盖佐尔的灼热之卵 dropped for me on my very first Firelands run. Difficulty was set on 10 man Normal. I haven't even realised it dropped until I started selling the items to the vendor after the clear. As a frost Death Knight I rarely will use this firey bird, does not fit my style, but it's still nice to have it in the collection.

Confirmed that Smoldering Egg of Millagazor still drops. I just got it today (3/20/15) at 7:18am (CST) on Medivh server by running 10 man Normal Mode. I have been farming this mount for a VERY long time so I was pleasantly surprised to have finally obtained this mount today! :)

Been farming 萨弗拉斯，燃灭之手 with my RetPala for a few weeks now (8 Kills on 10h). Was really hoping for Sulfuras but than this beauty dropped. Well I'm not even mad, thats amazing :D

I run Firelands weekly on all my characters. Two well geared level one hundreds and three level ninety - ninety eight toons, who all manage to do 25 man (my level ninety doing 10 man). I mainly ran this raid in order to make gold ~ killing all the adds, skinning/mining, boss kills, selling boe's and vendoring any loot. Which got me around 3k each run, a huge income of 10k per week for just this raid.

It made grinding the Firelands mounts easier to do and not so boring, as I get a nice amount of gold each run.

I got the first mount Flametalon of Alysrazor after several runs, so not only did I get a nice mount - I also made around 76k from all the runs that I did. I decided still that I wanted to get the Pureblood Fire Hawk so kept running every week, fortunately it did not take me much longer to obtain this mount and it dropped along with Sulfuras. Hand of Ragnaros which I was also trying to get.

Completely worth the time and effort, I still run Firelands weekly however for a nice gold income :)

A little info on the drop rates: I have looked around and it seems the mounts have a HIGHER chance to drop on 10 man raid, rather than 25 man normal - which wow head also states. So do check before running a certain difficulty.

Well, i'm at 200 kills in, officially now. Tallied from the armories of the 7 toons I run rag every week on. I've managed to nab about 6 萨弗拉斯，燃灭之手, however. I have yet to see the mount, but I'm still going strong! This thing has GOT to drop sooner or later! :P

I just got this running 25M Normal. I was not running it for the mount but for the legendary staff. I definitely did not expect it to drop then my rarity addon that keeps track of my kills told me it dropped. I could not believe it. It was my 25th total run. Case in point is run it not expecting it to drop, but then again why would we be running it in the first place unless like me for the legendary staff or maybe just gold.

For those of you farming this using multiple characters each week here is a tip that will greatly reduce the time between all of your characters to kill Ragnaros and other bosses in other raids for that matter. With this method you only need to clear up to boss Majordomo Staghelm. Once you have cleared to Majordomo Staghelm leave the instance.

1. With that character that cleared up to last boss or boss you want to farm create a pre made group.
2. Log in with Second character and join the pre made group then log back out
3. Log back in with the original character and accept the invite request from your second character then log back out.
4. Log in with your second character and accept the invitation and join the group. Choose the raid difficulty and size then zone in. After zoning in you will get the message to accept the other raid lockout. If for whatever reason it does not work then you just simply need to reset instance on the second character.

6.2 WOD= the mount dropped!

I wanted to do the ragnaros achievement but after 3 deaths in hero mode going for the achiev( aint doable in hero) I decided to turn it into 25N got the achievement and the mount :) first try ... Well I have maybe farmed this in the past but aprox 10 times.

Just dropped on 10player Normal. If you are only in the raid for the mount I would recommend setting it on this difficulty because it makes this instance a lot faster. If you have some gear ~670 ilvl you could set the raid to 25 H and get about 2k raw gold as well. this way even if the mount does not drop, you did gain some for you time spent. the mount dropped for me after 27 total kills.

Had this baby drop for me on my 7th heroic 25man solo run. Two runs after, I had it drop for me a second time. I have a bad feeling that I won't be seeing any mounts drop for me for years.

After 35 kills across 2 toons in mostly 10-man normal but a few heroic runs it finally dropped. I know 35 attempts isn't much but i was already so tired of running this. Don't give up! You will eventually get it if you consistently run it every week.

Joined a group to do "Only the Penitent". Turns out the raid leader was locked out. After messing around for some time, the leader disbanded the group, leaving me inside a 10-man normal instance, with a raid lockout and all bosses killed up to Staghelm, and no achieve.

Decided to kill the remaining two bosses, and guess what dropped?

I'm a returning player having taken a long ass break (missed the whole of Mists, rejoined about 2 months ago and rolled a Monk from level 1).

Tonight, I had my GM take me through Firelands 10N, just so I could experience the raid for the first time. We weren't trying to get the mounts, but the flying mount dropped and I won it!

Made a ton of people in my guild very jealous indeed!

On Saturday on the weekend I was doing FL normal 10 man solo run to get fire cat form for my druid. After killing Staghelm I thought 'meh may as well kill rag' which is only my second kill, and this dropped. I looted it by auto loot and saw it's name on the chat box pop up, but it didn't sink in.. Then after about 20 good seconds, it hit me! I was beaming with joy! This is the first time a very rare mount drop has dropped me! I cannot believe it!

I can see that that I have dislikes either that be from jealousy or disbelieve. But here is the proof of the pudding. I've been farming this mount for several years.
Always did it on heroic 25man mode, just because I thought I would have a bigger drop chance (more items will drop in 25hc mode).

Today I decided to check up on the comments on this page and I found out that many people got the mount running normal 10man mode.
So, today I tried to do it on normal 10man mode as well and guess what dropped?
Yes!
It might be dumb luck, but something tell me it's not..

So..uhmm..this happened.
I was doing Firelands for the first time with a friend, and we tried to get "Glory of the Firelands Raider."
He $%^&s up and ruins everything.
So we decided just to kill Ragnaros and hope for the mount.
And then, of course, it dropped.
And of course, he gets it.
I got pissed.

2 Weeks later, I decide to do Firelands again, for "Crown of Flame"
And of %^&*ing course, I don't get it.
But then I turn to page 2 of the loot, and see "Smoldering Egg of Millagazor"
So yeah..2 Pureblood Fire Hawks in a row.

177 kills now and no joy. I thought I'd been unlucky with Ashes of Al'ar - that took be 117 kills.

If anyone is using multiple chars to farm this, here's what I do to reduce time each week:

1) Clear the first 6 bosses on 10/25 man normal with one char.
2) On that char, use the group finder to list a group - call it something random like test and set it to auto-accept people.
3) Log out on that char and log in on an alt.
4) On your alt, sign up to your group in the group finder (it should be highlighted as you 'know' your char in it).
5) Fly over to Firelands. On your way, leader will pass to you so you can delist the group to stop realm hoppers getting in the way.
6) Kill Ragnaros and cry at the lack of the mount again, hearthstoning in despair and leaving the group.
7) Switch back to your first char, exit the instance (you'll be at the entrance), reset all instances, enter again.
8) Loop back to step 2 and repeat for all other alts.

It saves quite a bit of time. Obviously you won't get nearly as much gold as clearing it on multiple chars on 25 man heroic but once you've killed Ragnaros over 100 times, you really just want to cut down how long you need to be there.

If you need Flametalon too then you could, of course, do the same but do it with the first 4 dead instead.

Edit: It finally dropped after 184 tries. Keep at it folks!

Mount farming has been testing at times; thankfully been running 11-16 characters through each week for the past few months. Appreciate the comments here about how long it took to obtain them, as it let me know I wasn't alone. I just got this mount on my 46th run on 10-man normal using the alt-save method with my friends account. Definitely worth doing if you are short on time each week and don't want to run these dungeons from start to finish.

Yesturday my boomie had a lucky day in Firelands 25man heroic, got both mounts in the same run. Killed Alysrazor, got 奥利瑟拉佐尔的烈焰之爪, killed Ragnaros, got 米拉盖佐尔的灼热之卵. Very happy!

It took 121 full runs (25man heroic) across all chars on account.

I actually clean Firelands 25man heroic each week because of gold + vendoring all drops (cca 2k gold). I was unhappy for a long time in Firelands while trying to get at least one of the mounts and yesturday RNG (hate you but love you) rewarded me.

Now with both mounts I won't say goodbye to Firelands, still gonna do it each week because of gold. To others who farm them, good luck and dont give up!

I logged onto my monk for the first time in 4 months. Was looking through my bags when i saw an item that looked like this. thought it was a trinket so i tried to vendor it. When the error that it cannot be vendored came up, i realize it was the fire hawk :D. So i basically had this mount in my bag for months and didn't realize it.

After repeatedly farming this mount there are a few things I've learned:

It is unnecessary to kill any trash before Beth'tilac. However, once you have killed her, drop down from her lair back to the Molten Fields.

Take the road south pulling the two packs of Flamewaker mobs that are patrolling the road. Continue towards Alysrazor pulling all the Flamewaker mobs before the entrance to her cove. There should be a total of 7 packs, including the two before.

After you've killed the packs of Flamewakers, start the Alysrazor encounter. Before you kill her make sure she finishes her molting phase in the beginning. Once you have picked up three feathers to receive the Wings of Flame buff, finish off Alysrazor and prepare to fly directly south up to Lord Ryolith's platform.

You'll have about 25 seconds of the Wings of Flame buff to reach Ryolith's platform. Land far enough to avoid pulling him and make sure to click your Wings of Flame buff OFF. If you don't click this buff off, it will cause him to evade and reset.

After you've killed him head back down towards Baleroc. Kill the Flamewaker's that are summoning an elemental in front of the entrance to Baleroc's room.

This will be the perfect amount of mobs to spawn Shannox at the entrance of Baleroc's room.

Kill Shannox, Baleroc, Majordomo.

The beginning of the stairs leading to Ragnaros is the perfect spot to use a Goblin Glider to glide all the way down to the final boss.

Kill Ragnaros. gg

Also, I used lockout trick: cleared all the bosses up to Ragnaros, then I used my alts to kill him.

Just ran through Firelands for the first time, and this beauty dropped. Had to do a double take and check the drop chance, needless to say I am very happy to have gotten this on my first ever run through this raid! Makes a Goblin character look much more impressive in comparison to most mounts I have used.

I ran Firelands every week on 25 roic with 9 toons for 2.5 years. I have all the roic appearances so I dropped it down to 25 normal.
2nd run on one toon it dropped, took a leather toon there for appearances again on 25 normal it drops yet again.
Not sure if better chance on 25 normal but for it to drop twice in 2 days? Just sayin.

Been farming this mount on 4 characters for over a year now on 25man Heroic with no luck. I have 11 characters now, thanks to the pre-legion launch. The RNG bull!@#$ on Legion's paragon cache is giving me a fair amount of pain, so I decided to do some old content today and farm this mount on 25man Normal instead. Guess what, it dropped on my 8th try. Very very happy. Am finally done.

I have unusual and - mostly - unhappy luck with mounts. IE, I tend to get much-coveted drops, but never see the ones that I am actually after. For example, I have been playing since launch, and despite farming it for hours, I have never once seen the Reins of Rivendare's Charger drop. But the Sha of Anger mount? Like my third kill in MOP. And there have been others...

... including, now, the Pureblood Firehawk. I am sorry to the people who have devoted blood, sweat, and many tears to this burning bird, but I got it in 3 runs. I wasn't even there for it - I wanted a pair of boots off Staghelm, ran the instance on three plate toons before they dropped, and decided "what the hell?" to finish things off with a Rag kill. And, wouldn't you know, same run as the shoes, out pops the egg. Oh well - the good news is, I will use it, since by blood elf is going for a whole cliche flaming mog, and this fits perfectly.

*Edit* And for those curious, it was heroic mode.

I just got this mount after running Firelands 25h for 6 weeks straight. Not sure if it makes a difference but I seem to have better luck when running the highest level possible for a dungeon. I'm currently running 14 different dungeons weekly for pets and mounts. In the past 6 weeks, I've gotten 2 mounts and 6 pets. Happy hunting!

Finally got this mount today. Rarity is broken so i can't post how many runs i've done.

What i can say is: you can do this raid twice a day per character by doing it once on Heroic and another time on Normal, they have individual lockouts.

I have been running this raid 38 times a week on 19 max level characters.

Firelands raid lockout for 8.3

1. Main character - 10N, clear until last boss;

2. Exit raid and leave your character at the entrance;

3. Create a group;

4. Login to your alts and join the group you created;

5. Log back in your main and accepted the invitation;

6. Log back in your alts (make sure you are accepted);

7. Log back in your main, reset all instances (this may take some times), enter the raid (make sure all the boss are killed except the last one) and leave the raid (Go back to the entrance); and

8. Log back in your alts and enjoy the lockout.

This just dropped for me on my 23rd attempt. It dropped for me on normal mode from the cache. Still no flametalon. I have been running the whole raid on heroic and normal mode every week. Just going to be going straight for Alysrazor for now on. Good luck farming everyone!

I have run Firelands many many many times for the mounts... was literally losing the will to live. Then one time... the hawk finally dropped. BUT i also made an observation that i found quite interesting. I have NO IDEA if it was just a coincidence or what.. At the beginning of the raid when you can go to the spider boss, before you get there, you come across a hawk being eaten by a spider in the web. Every time i got there and killed the spiders, the hawk would fall down on the ground dead. Then that one time.. i, as usual, went to the spider boss, but this time for some unknown reason the Hawk lived and flew away! i have never seen it do that. SO i thought that it was strange and jokingly thought that maybe because it's "alive" it would drop or something... and guess what? it did! on that instance!.... I always thought that loot is pre-determined when you enter the raid. But i think the loot is created when the mob/boss is created. And there is a bit with the bridge and cut scene that sort of separates the raid into two bits. And i wonder if having the hawk alive, raises the chances of it dropping? i dont know. i might be talking c**p here.

But then i thought what if something similar is used on the flametalon mount in the same raid... because the Alysrazor is also created separately while the boss fight is going on (when the Alysrazor shoots out from the ground)... i decided to not kill the eggs at the entrance and let them hit me while i was killing the actual boss (thinking maybe if i kill them, the drop chance goes down or something)... and what happened? the flametalon dropped! .... again.... it was just my observation.. NO idea if that's what happens... I just wonder if there are some secrets in looting, maybe some things increase chances and some dont... but here is what happened to me.

I have farmed the Firelands raid around 250-300 times over the years. Today, I went in and was surprised to have this mount drop on Normal mode. What a relief, knowing that now all I have to do every week is run into Firelands and kill Alysrazor for the Flametalon ground mount. So, I load up my next character, go into Firelands, run straight to Alysrazor, and the Flametalon drops. My mind is blown.

So.. this is one of the raids i've most farmed over the years and still can't drop the mount. I've done it over 200 times on heroic and as of now I dropped 3 times the other one. I'm so sick of 🔥 i almost wanna drown myself.

I has just found out this week that ever since the changes to Firelands due to Timewalking, you can now do both Heroic and Normal modes in the same week.
I did my Heroic run first like I always do, and ending up getting the Flametalon of Alysrazor again even though I have had it for years.
With the new knowledge that I can try again, I decided to do Normal right after. During that run, I ended up getting Flametalon AGAIN.
Mind you that this is my third copy of this mount, so I really felt like all my luck was being wasted towards it instead of the Smoldering Egg of Millagazor.
However, it finally happened--the chest from Ragnaros contained the Smoldering Egg as well. THREE mounts on the same day.
My journey is over, almost 10 years after it started. I have no reason to come back to Firelands, not for Legendaries or other quests. I have completed it all.
Hold out hope! They still exist! Just keep chugging along and one day you will get one, or even three, for yourself!

Randomly decided to complete Heroic Firelands before shutdown on my DH - finished the raid with less than 4 mins until server shutdown.

This was about my 5th or 6th run in total and over the last 3 weeks, and my first on my DH.

Saw I got the Smoldering Egg of Milagazor on the first attempt on my DH and couldn't be happier! My first actual rare mount.

I got this one on Heroic but don't know how many attempts it took, probably like 5 to 10.

Randomly decided to run Firelands today for the first time since Legion - with the level squish things take 2 hits instead of 1 but it was still a breeze, and the egg dropped first try. Feels good man!

Created this account specifically to post this.

I've been running Firelands for years, looking for this drop. Tonight it was on the new BMAH for around 200,000, which was worth a bid.
While waiting, I ran my main through Firelands on normal then heroic, no gains except for new normal mogs.
I then ran through it again with my incredibly undergeared but still OP mage alt.

It dropped out of the chest.

This isn't a brag post, it's an encouragement one: they have to have tweaked the drop rate, considering the posts before this one (which were what had me running it tonight anyway, as I was here to verify I had the right item from the BMAH).

If you've given up on this, give it another good try!

For those who don't know, you don't have to run the whole raid to get to Ragnaros. I'm just passing it on from another thread
1) Just run straight to Alysrazor's area. Don't arggo any of the mobs getting there, that will only slow things down.

2)Wipe out the trash: The two piles of eggs, the adds in the middle and the two flaming chickens.

3) walk over to Majordomo, walk around him to start his speech

4) he then casts smouldering roots....buff is like 30 seconds

5) When he is done and takes off, Alysrazor spawns, but don't touch it, just wait for the feathers to drop on the ground

6) pick up 3 feathers to get the flying buff, then fly directly right over to Sulfuron Keep (genius right?) That's like a slight left of where She spawned.

7) Once at the keep the buff turns into a speed buff

8) run in, kill the adds, blah blah blah you know the rest

9) if you can't open the chest because you are still in combat, just jump in lava, kill yourself (you have to anyways to get out of there) and the loot ends up in your mail. Hope that helps some of the new hopefuls, and best of luck to everyone :)

It dropped today after 189 counted attempts.
I set the raid for 25 hc before going in it's normal that it changes to 10 hc when inside after that I go die and change it to normal for another run at it.
Use the skip with the wings to make it easier for you and go straight for the end boss, and use your classes and races that can get out of combat for normal runs. You get 2 runs / character / week. My Night Elf druid used Shadowmeld on normal to get to the chest with the mount inside. My lowest lvl player that did the run was my shammy at lvl 43.

I had to come here to gloat. Finally got him!

What a run, too: in one go, I led Shannox around the map for that one achievement, then activated both orbs on the second-last boss between blasts and got that achievement, which got me the raid meta achievement for Firelands, which awarded me Corrupted Egg of Millagazor.

Then before I had a chance to try that out, I beat Ragnaros, probably for the first time in over a year after running him constantly since Cata, and the Smoldering Egg finally dropped for me! Maybe only around 30-odd Firelands runs over the years? Whenever I sub, I habitually visit Firelands/ICC/Sethekk for my brainless runs, but I didn't go too nuts and run on alts. I got pretty lucky. Incredible looking mount, extremely vibrant.

Dropped in Normal mode too, which surprised me.
Did not use shortcut, ran sequentially.

Not to jump on the normal wagon here but it seems to be a common theme. I've been farming heroic on quite a few toons off and on for a few years. nothing super serious but started running regularly the past month here and getting super bored lol. checked the board here because I was suspicious of the loot table. The egg says it drops from firelord's cache but I wasn't seeing a cache at all - just looting rag. so NEW PLAN after also learning you can skip everything:
- got on first toon and ran straight for Alystrazor. just let her drop the feathers at beginning of encounter, pick 3 up and fly over to rag. you COULD kill her first if you're quick but if you don't, you get a speed buff to your run which is nice in those halls going down to rag. so yea, just flew over, killed rag, got a loot cache on NORMAL. nothing...
- tried again on hunter and got it.
So I mean, it could be coincidence but I see a lot of people say they switched to normal and got it. Maybe it has something to do with the cache on normal vs looting it right from rag on heroic. Not sure what else to say! Happy hunting :)

Ran FL with my lvl 55 babyshaman for the tierlookalike mog kilt + boots off HC first, got the kilt and the mace off Ragnaros, recalled that I can reset and run on normal, seeing I'm missing the normal mode BOE boots, so out, switch to normal 25, smash the skulls in and go to Raggy, loot it and while HS back to Elysian Hold vendoring and DE the loot I realised I had the mount, mistook it for the trinket first. Kinda happy moment, later went to MC and got the Eye, so now I have both versions of Sulfuras ;)

For those still grinding this mount so many years later, just want to confirm it can still drop WITH the skip. Just a reminder, you CAN run this on Normal and Heroic each week. I wasted several weeks thinking you could only do one or the other, not realizing with Timewalking it now gives you 2 opportunities. I have been running 6 times a week (on 3 chars) for about 1 1/2 months now ONLY using the skip. I started to wonder if I was screwing up the loot table with the skip, but lo and behold this mount dropped tonight, on normal, 66 kills (give or take, since rarity doesn't track Firelands and I forget to manually add attempts sometimes). Just got it tonight after many, many, many.....many, attempts stretching back to actual Cata.

Wasn't gonna run it after running all my alt runs on Heroic and Normal, but decided to use the lockout extension toon since it's a DH and FL is quick to clear anyway. Got it on that first run, on heroic.

Don't give up hope, and maybe use the lockout toon's tries anyway after all alts are done since FL is small?

If anyone, like myself, had a glitch with Rarity where it's not showing your attempts for this and the Alysrazor mount then please know it IS counting your tries, the addon is just glitching.

Got Smoldering Egg today and can only assume Alysrazor mount will drop in time :)

I'd been farming for this off and on for years since MoP, although a while ago I stopped coming regularly because I started prioritizing different mounts.

Fastforward some time later and my girlfriend and I were doing this together on 10 normal (totally didn't pay attention to the difficulty and right before we got to Ragnaros I wished I payed attention) - and on her VERY FIRST EVER kill it dropped for them :D

She gave it to me :3

Okay i dont know if i just got lucky or if that i did had something to do with the dropchance ? :O BUT! i started to go in on HC - Killed everything as fast as i could all the way down to Rag - NO MOUNT so i got out turned to normal reset instance got in and did it aaall one more time BUT! This time when Rag smashes hes hammer to the ground and you have to kill all the adds i didnt ! i let them just go and i standed still totally witout killing them and when he got up again i just insta smashed him and ! BING BING BING Mount + alot of other loot :O ! :D as i said i dont know if killing the minions had anything to do with the mount drop but guys try it out ! maybe it works? I have been in Firelands for AGES for this mount so maybe there is something about it? ;D i would just let you all know :D

Does not track stats for this mount. It is assumed that your attempts are tracked by Blizzard API in some way but it doesnt display. Apparently this is some sort of API issue specific to Firelands.

This issue is not currently being planned to be fixed by addon devs. It has been determined by them that this is a Blizzard API issue, not an addon issue.

Updated farming strat:

Firelands has been changed to a legacy style raid. You can run Heroic and Normal both in the same week on each character.

The best strat is to start by engaging 奥利瑟拉佐尔. However, do not kill the boss. Gather the feathers, go into flight, and immediately melt the boss. Dont worry about looting 奥利瑟拉佐尔. The boss loot will be sent to your mail. I can confirm that I got the mount from 奥利瑟拉佐尔 in the mail. When you still have the flight buff from 奥利瑟拉佐尔, use the flight to go towards 拉格纳罗斯. . If you are confused on where to go, basically fly towards the area where the lava bridge normally connects to the second part of the raid.

After you kill 拉格纳罗斯 on heroic, you can loot his body directly. On Normal, a Cache/chest will appear. Most likely it will say you cannot open it because you are in combat. However, this is due to a bug from 拉格纳罗斯 dying too quickly. If you wait about 15 seconds, he will give more dialogue and then you will be out of combat. After you kill 拉格纳罗斯 on the first difficulty, simply jump into the lava and you will die, respawning at the raid entrance. Leave the instance, change difficulty, and repeat. The damages from repairs are NOT scaled down, so this is a potentially costly method depending on the gear you have on.

The mount drops on both Normal and Heroic. It does NOT matter which one you do first.
