so it sounds like, our first seasonal character(if its going to start with the launch) we will just go through the campaign as we level. doesnt sound too bad considering a lot of us would probably going through the campaign once to see it atleast.
This is stupid. The story is a waste of time for many players. There is no logical reason to force everyone to complete the story.
That shouldn't be too hard.

This is fine if the story isn't terrible like the base games is. I always play through the story in online games but about halfway through D4 when you get to the all the busy work fetch quest nonsense Donan makes you do it becomes an absolute boring slog. And then his absolute idiocy later in the story made me want to pull my hair out. Nobody should have to play through the base games story.
So the story will be scaled with a brand new seasonal character, or will the story become available once we hit like 60 or something? On the new seasonal character can we skip the initial story but still play the new expansion story? Not sure if I should make a new character and plop it at the end of the main story or just make a new one next season.
I've been waiting for the story to continue, seasons and end game content are the boring part, all grind - grind - grind, for totally random drops of crap that waste my limited life time in this universe.The story content is what has "the interesting and keeping you buying the expansions" part of the game, as that is why you are here.Consider looking at it like this:- repeatedly doing the same thing over and over, again and again, with no real results is the same as the definition of "Insanity"

raises the question, what about existing eternal realm characters?do you have to complete it that many times?
