I agree that this could be a bridge to a better tabard design system in the near future. The UI is as old as the game itself, and the guild designs haven't been updated or added to this whole time. It's definitely possible that the plain tabard colors from the Traders shop has been somewhat of a precursor to this. Maybe later they'll finally update the pixels and resolution of existing icons and imagery already available for guilds to use after TWW launch? A revamp to the whole mini-system would be nice, and if that's already in the cards somewhere then I'm all for it!
That is for sure a really nice addition. Looking forward to test it.I've loved the new simple HQ tabard they added to the trading post. I think they should use them to update the design tabard designs by usinh all these colors.

This is a huge W for transmog fans like me.
if we had had this 16 years ago, I never would have made my own personal guild. and now I've got it on like 6 or 7 servers.
i wonder if the design will also get shirt options like the guild shirt? honestly it would be kind of fun to have a full on "make your own shirt" option with multiple saves. love the idea of this new option but the reason i have a one-character guild is so i can have a black tank top lol. still, a step in the right direction! the guild tabards *do* need to be updated though.

Hysterical that with Blizz making everything look better, the Tabards are still stuck in 2004.
While they are at it can they give us an HD update to customized tabards, at this point they are really giving MSpaint.

Yet another W. I do hope they get updated with higher res textures and the full tabard design they use now.
Imagine if we could upload our own designs for the tabard (maybe as an image file). Although then loading other characters would take forever so maybe not. But more options and more pixels would be appreciated. :)
And now imagine they would also fix all the armor clipping bugs.

Kind of cool for those that actually use tabards... But since I find 99% of them to be ugly and instead of draping over the chest piece, it replaces it, visually, I probably will never use this after unlocking.
