They don't only drop from elite creatures for the second quest.
World bosses can drop 40-70 of the things, I think? Though there is a chance they don't drop any. But when they do it's much higher than regular mobs. Haven't tried LFR bosses yet.
Follower dungeons drop loads of the quest items. Went into Brackehide as tank and pulled like crazy :)
Great set but the belt looks too bulky and weird on a lot of races for me
Just farm the Forgemaster in Fyrakk assaults....he drops 25-49 each time.
A quick way to do this is to go to the current Suffusion (Fyrakk) Camp and kill the Forgemaster repeatedly. It drops around 47 essences per kill and people are constantly spawning and killing him. After around 10 kills you'll be done.Taken from -A Sacred Connection#comments
Just did two world bosses, got zero currency. Fyi.
It's the least they could do after taking away the mounts special ability....
Let me guess, rare mobs only drop like 5 at a time.
Blizzard should rather fix the Algarian Stormrider gryphon, which lost its special lightning charged acceleration skill with the prepatch.
These quests better not get removed after pre-patch ends.
