Increase Visibility with Silhouette and Camera Collision Options in The War Within

With the launch of The War Within pre-patch come many updates and improvements to the game, alongside two major quality of life improvements that may be easy to overlook, but will greatly improve your ability to see!
Show Silhouette While Obstructed
As the name implies, this new setting found in the Combat Options menu highlights Highlight your character’s silhouette even when the actual model is blocked by in-game objects.
This deceptively simple innovation is a
very
welcome addition to the game, especially when out navigating some of the more densely decorated areas of the game world. Despite being listed under combat options, it's also active all of the time, not only while in combat.
Normally obstructed, turning this setting on allows players to see a darkened silhouette of their character.
Reduced Camera Collision
Perhaps even more more exciting is not having your camera suddenly zoom in and out upon colliding with every lamppost, rock, tree, pillar, banner, tapestry, or other small environmental set piece! Although the feature is not yet found in the game options directly, indicating that it is still a work-in-progress, players can enable it early using console commands entered through the chat window.
/console cameraIndirectVisibility 1
/console cameraIndirectOffset 10
The first command will turn the feature on with a
1
or off again with a
0
, while the second dictates how sensitive it is to collision with a value of
0
-
10
.
This is a
hugely
important quality of life feature, both for exploring the game world and dungeon, raid, or PvP content, as many players will recall all too well the frustrations of a low hanging flag or awkwardly placed staircase causing their camera to jerk inward without warning. Note that this is also a persistent setting and does not need to be entered after relogging.
Compare the normal camera with the setting turned off, and the new behavior when set to 10.
The two settings also work in concert with one another, preventing environmental doodads and set pieces from moving or obstructing your camera's view!
