I learned a lot about the dreadlords which I either did not know, or had forgotten. I told you this before, but it really is true. For the most part, I only knew the areas concerning Sylvanas Windrunner, but having a bit more background to draw upon really shows just how much depth there can be to the Warcraft universe.There's an explanation for everything, and a reason why. I always found the Nathrezim to be an interesting race in WoW lore. They are one of my favorite races lore-wise, along with Tauren, Forsaken, Annihilan and dragons.

Quick question, i'm assuming blizz canon has changed the fall of sargeras, no longer the nathrezim being the source of his downfall from champion of the pantheon. can't remember where i read where i found this out though.

Once Arthas, as the current Lich King, is disposed of, Sargeras is likely to make a move, isn't he? And if the dragonflights are not wiped out completely, then the next expansion could see a lot more of that side of the lore -- as well as interaction within the emerald dream.Sylvanas' lackey... iuno if Varimathras really supports the ideals of the Forsaken -- but he sure is a beast. Assault Undercity as Alliance and you will know what I mean. ;)This was an awesome read. I love Warcraft lore but am always forgetting most of it. Reading through the quests in Northrend is also bringing things together for me more -- especially considering the Scourge. I love seeing Arthas' interaction in each zone. Still, I have to read and re-read stuff like this -- speculation and points of view aside -- to try and order things in my mind.The Nathrezim are pretty awesome. What is their interaction with the Eredar and the Titans? Or even the so-called Old gods? Hasn't it been 10,000 years since Sargeras, corrupted by the Eredar, was even in sight?I gotta bring up wowwiki again and go through it all. /sighToo much information, Executus! Brilliantly done. Though I knew most of the info here already, being the lorenerd I am, the information is accurate and well written. You might want to update the part about Varimathras, though. I'm going to put some big spoilers up here, so heres a warning.May I also speculate that, as Varimathras and Balnazzar are/were brothers, Varimathras didn't actually kill Balnazzar, he merely made it appear such. This would mean that the rest are truly dead, as they were killed not by fellow dreadlords, but various heroes of the alliance, horde, and other factions.
It's implied in the Ashbringer comic that after Balnazzar was actually working alongside Varimathras after he posessed Dathrohan (he plotted Mograine's death to prevent him from raiding the Undercity). A bit strange to side with your murderer.
@SkyfireKK.@TyrsenusWell, if Balnazzar is still alive, it is largely possible that he wasnt killed in the first place, but made to look like it. Or there is some talk about summoning demons back from the twisting Nether, as seen in the book Cycle of Hatred...so it's quite possible Varimathras did either and that was why.
