Below we'll detail how you can obtain a
Phönixwunschküken
of your very own. You can complete the steps in any order, but to finish the quest that rewards

, you will need

Schwelende Phönixasche
x15 and
Aschefeder
x20.
Pheonix Wishwing is currently a little buggy and won't appear in your journal, but can be summoned and caged (bought and sold on the Auction House) using scripts.
To summon, this script will put Phoenix Wishwing on your cursor, where you can place it on your bars or in a team:
/run local p=C_PetJournal p.PickupPet(select(2,p.FindPetIDByName(p.GetPetInfoBySpeciesID(3292))))
To cage Phoenix Wishwing to sell or trade:

Obtaining the Phoenix Ash Talisman
The
Phönixaschentalisman
is sold by
Zektar
in

x20. If Zektar is not present, complete the quest

Obtaining the Glittering Phoenix Ember
To obtain the
Glänzende Phönixglut
you must defeat
Alysrazar
in Firelands Timewalking. This item drops for everyone in the group and there is no pre-requisites to it dropping.
Firelands Timewalking is only available during Cataclysm Timewalking week, which at the time of posting, is this week! You can queue up with a premade group at
Vormu
in Stormwind City or Orgrimmar. Check group finder for groups that may be running, but be aware as time passes it may be more difficult to find a group doing Firelands Timewalking. If you plan to get this pet at some point in the future, we recommend at least getting the
Glänzende Phönixglut
now.
Obtaining the Inert Phoenix Ash
Inaktive Phönixasche
drops rarely from
Versengender Elementar
at the center of
Der Krater von Un'Goro
. These share spawn points with (but do not drop from)
Lebendiges Feuer
so make sure you kill both. Circle the Volcano (Fireplume Ridge) to farm these. You will need

x20, which may take you a few hours.
Obtaining the Sacred Phoenix Ash
Heilige Phönixasche
can be found within Cookpots, located around

. Cookpots will spawn

within them - tilt your camera to look in to the top of the pot to see these.

are not always up, but you can utilize swapping between Warmode On/Off and Chromie Time to farm these faster. Collect

Obtaining the Smoldering Phoenix Ash
To obtain
Schwelende Phönixasche
, farm the various Phoenixes such as
Lavaphönix
or
Lodernde Feuerböe
found on the Dragon Isles. These can mostly be found around the Obsidian Citadel in

. You will need

x15. Check your bags or bank, you may have some stashed away! Below is where I farmed. You can also loot the

in this area.

Obtaining the Ash Feathers
Purchase the
Aschefederamulett
from
Gaunah
in

at the Obsidian Throne. Use this necklace and pick up
Aschefeder
found within the Burning Ascent and Slagmire, which are areas surrounding the Obsidian Citadel. Pick up these feathers until you have

x20. The buff only lasts one hour, so make sure to refresh it as needed.
