so an unfinished balance patch replaces another? :D
That news push gave me a heart attack. Thought the release is earlier
am I blind or is there no glory of the dungeon hero achievement this expansion? :(
Remix Weapon Arsenals in this patch, right .... RIGHT?
Can't wait for 11.1 when they finish updating the other classes.
Wait, wait...what's a launch patch?
It really feels like Blizzard has no idea what they're doing with this expansion launch... They've launched 9 other expansions but it feels like their first time. I don't get it.
my fellow warcrafters, i do believe you are reading too far into it, its just a software thing. basically all of the major parts are done and locked in, this is the patch thats going live, BUT they're almost certainly going to be hotfixing it constantly to do balance tweaks, and bug fixes, its just that the core of the expansion is now locked in and there will be no more major changes or class or system overhauls. just numbers and bugs from here on out.
Enhancement Shamans rejoice!
Would that mean Shadowlands raids would be legacy loot with this patch? I know they will be in TWW but aren't with the current pre-patch, but would love to get some chances at my transmog before TWW goes live so I'd be super excited if this patch lets us get that (also tame Grong, I saw that is coming for Horde Hunters).
Is this the patch we get the change to quest rewards so all item appearances unlock regardless of the class that did the quest, even for items that class can't use?The feature WAS on ptr but was removed last week? The feature never carried over the the live game when the TWW pre patch went live on July 23.In an interview with MrGM Morgan Day said it would be a feature of the game moving forward, and that we would also get retroactive credit for all quests we have already completed.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsceZpGV9-E&t=273sWe got retroactive credit for quest rewards in the Legion prepatch, but of course that was limited to only items the character who completed the quest could actually use.Currently things seem to be working contradictory to what Morgan Day said.https://www.wowhead.com/news/quests-not-rewarding-every-appearance-on-the-war-within-pre-patch-beta-bug-345588But it did work how he said at one point, but because of how character copies work it was hard to test retroactive credit.https://www.wowhead.com/news/completing-quests-will-unlock-transmog-across-all-armor-types-in-the-war-within-339065
I can't remember too many expansions where people didn't say "It's not ready" etc.The truth is, there is no ready state. We'll dive two years into an expansion's life and we're still fixing bugs and updating classes. Balance never stops in live games. So there is no 'Wait until it's balanced, then release.' If this came out tomorrow we'd be alright.
