While it's nice to have it compiled, IMHO any talk of the Evoker is basically pure speculation until we have a workable build to really get into the meat and potatoes of the class.
I'm really curious if Empower comes to other classes in the future. Assuming it's well received of course.
I feel like Evoker is going to have a crazy high skill ceiling.
Even if the spells were free, the negative effects are that you have to hold your button longer to get an increased effect. The more pressing issue would be how the hell would they balance this and how would you as a player know when to stop holding down your button?Hold for 1 second and heal for X? Hold for 3 seconds and heal for 3 times X? Or damage/heal in a larger radius? It's going to be confusing for players more than anything I think.
I know it's early to say, but I'm let down that there's no tank spec involving the black dragonflight. So far it looks like there will be no black dragonflight abilities at all? Also, not a big fan of being forced to be a dracthyr if I wanna go evoker, and forced to be in dragon form while in combat. Really don't like the way dracthyr look. Too skinny, and look more like salamanders than dragons.
It will become muscle memory just like any skill - I LOVE that they are dabbling in this, adds a little bit of that “action” combat that WoW sorely needs instead of just push click, I like more skill shots adds fun factor
Aren't blue dragons more about arcane magic or am I wrong?
Not your best work Jak - just high level guesswork
I swear to god if evokers get a raid-wide stagger cooldown instead of monks
They stated in the interview that they were discussing holding down X may give more targets healing as an example. Swole Holinka talked a good bit in Mr.GM’s interview about it ( I believe it was that interview). They also talked about not designing raids around that mid range type deal to put them in a bad spot. The only resource they confirmed was essence. It didn’t seem to use more essence (the resource like energy and focus) on those charged abilities, just an extended cast time for additional effects.A few abilities that are charged are shown in the demo on the DF part of the web site too (updates).
That's a pretty long text for basically "yea it has that charge up mechanic but we know nothing else"
Still sad they can't be a tank seems so stupid that they can't be
