Roland the Recipe Rat has been found! Below is a guide on how to obtain the achievement,

Prepare Your Items
Your adventure to obtain Roland will require you to obtain several different cheeses and some gold bars. While you don't have to get the required items before you start, I recommend doing so.
To obtain Roland, you'll need:
Feiner alter Cheddar
x70 - 20 will be used to persuade the Rat to give you his recipe. 50 will be used to craft the
Karitativer Cheddar
.
Gewürzter reifer Cheddar
x20
Zocalocheddar
x10
Goldbarren
x10
You will also need 50 skill points in Dragon Isles Cooking.
All items can be bought and sold on the Auction House. If you find the cheeses are too expensive, you can purchase them from vendors throughout the game. Check out the item pages for a list of where they are sold.
Finding the Recipe Rat
You may remember this little fellow from Zskera Vaults! The
Rezeptratte
was previously found in Zskera Vaults and interacting with it would give you
Zerrissener Rezeptfetzen
to craft
Rattzept: Teuflisch gefüllte Eier
. Fear not, there are no prerequisites to this achievement (except 50 skill points in Dragon Isles cooking) and therefore you are not required to have interacted with the previous Recipe Rat.
Head to Zaralek Caverns. At the Obsidian Rest flight path, head inside the building and go to your right. You can find a slice of
Quietschender Lochkäse
in one of the boxes, near the sliced meat. Interact with this to receive the
Rezeptratte
.
Every 5 minutes, use the
Rezeptratte
in your inventory to beg the rat for
Zerrissener Rezeptfetzen
. Note that you'll need
Feiner alter Cheddar
to convince the rat to stay, or he will scurry off you and you'll have to return to Zaralek Caverns to pick him up again. Keep this up until you have 30. Combine the scraps, and you'll get
Rezept: Karitativer Cheddar

Share the Cheese with the hungry rats of azeroth
Use the
Karitativer Cheddar
x50 on
Ratte
critters across Azeroth. You can use this on any critter with the specific name "Rat" - critters like "Undercity Rat" or "Wharf Rat" will not work. Battle pet versions also will not work.
I recommend traveling to Tirisfal Glades and circling the zone collecting rats - even if you're Alliance. There's a high concentration of rats around the zone, especially at the farms and fields. Collecting 50 rats took me approximately 45 minutes.
You can /tar Rat - however - I found this not to be effective as it often targeted battle pets. I spotted most of mine by eye. If you are using /tar, enter combat occasionally to stop your friendly rats being targeted (they despawn in combat).
After feeding 50 rats, congratulations! You have obtained
Die Käsegabe
and
Roland
. He wears a hat, and holds a little fork and cheese.
If Roland has taught you anything, it's that friendship comes at a price. That price is lots and lots of cheese.
